Kat, a native Wisconsinite, grew up in the Fox Valley. Wife to Jess, mama to 2-year-old Milena, Kat moved to Madison to attend the UW as an English major. She’s lived in Madison for 10 years now, but didn’t realize just how family-friendly the city was until she became pregnant. Now, as a stay-at-home mama, she’s constantly discovering new places and activities in the area for her family to enjoy. She’s excited to share it all with you here on Raising Madison, and she hopes to hear about your discoveries as well!
Tiffany was lured by her husband Dave to Madison from San Diego with the promise of affordable housing, better schools and a “small town” feel. Luckily Madison has delivered! They originally lived on the east side but recently moved to Fitchburg to be closer to the restaurant that they own. She is mama to Liliana, now 4 years old and Charlie Marshall, who is 15 months old. Being a “transplant” they’ve discovered much of what the city has to offer by trial and error, and Tiffany’s happy to help share some of their favorite people and places and things to do here on Raising Madison.
Maggie is mama to 21 month old Dahlia. Dahlia was born here in Madison, at Meriter Hospital, but Maggie and her husband are both relative newcomers to Wisconsin. Maggie’s originally from Buffalo, NY, and her husband is from Pittsburgh, PA. Before this they lived in Chicago and New York City, but they’re enjoying a slightly more subdued existence in a smaller city. Maggie went to the University of Chicago, and then Columbia University for grad school. Maggie’s mostly a stay-at-home mom now, but she works on the weekends at the Apple Store at the West Towne Mall. So her life is basically baby stuff and geeky stuff. She’s excited to share some of her stories about raising Dahlia here in Madison.
