Did you know the Madison Symphony Orchestra allows the public to attend its dress rehearsals free of charge? It’s one of the few orchestras in the nation to do so! Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to experience a working symphony in action. And be sure to bring the young musicians in your life to see what happens behind the scenes.

A limited number of reservations are available here beginning one month before each event. Space is limited, and they usually fill up.

OPEN DRESS REHEARSAL ETIQUETTE
Please treat the rehearsal as a concert: you should arrive in Overture Hall by 6:50 pm so that you can be seated before the rehearsal begins. Please also turn off cell phones, remain silent and leave quietly if you need to before the end. The use of cameras or recording devices of any kind is prohibited. The rehearsal will last two to three hours with a 15 minute break in the middle. Please remove children quickly if they become disruptive. We thank you for making this public service a source of joy for all!

Open Dress Rehearsals take place in Overture Hall, 201 State St. Schedules, artists and programs are subject to change. Call 257.3734 to make a reservation.
