  1. I love Beans ‘n Cream!
It is located at 345 Cannery Square, in Sun Prairie’s renovated historic downtown. There’s a fireplace for a cozy atmosphere, comfy seating for pregnant or nursing mamas, free wi-fi, a kids play corner that’s clean and within arms-reach of parents and their bathrooms are groovy and contain a changing area. It’s within walking distance of the city’s beautiful, contained dream park.

Beans ‘n Cream serves coffees, specialty drinks, Rishi tea, Sassy Cow Ice Cream, as well as a locally sourced breakfast and lunch menu that relies heavily on organically produced ingredients.

It’s a great for a Saturday morning family outing or an anytime Playdate!

  2. I’m not sure if it’s technically a “restaurant”, but more of a coffee shop, lunch place, but we love Tuvalu! The train table is great fun while mommy gets to sit and have a coffee or tea!

  3. We love Hubbard Ave. Diner, Daisy Cafe, and the final one is not technically a restaurant, but The Chocolate Shoppe!

  4. I would have to say that we love Daisy’s. I have been bringing my 2 year old daughter there since she was in her infant carrier. We enjoy going for breakfast because not only is it all local bought but we always get fruit with our meals and that is her favorite thing to eat. We always end up going home with a “CUPIE CAKE” as she is able to say now.

  5. For local places, We love Daisy Cafe (we were just there yesterday). Staff are very accomdating with kids and they have all of those toys in the front. Also, a great changing table area in the bathroom. We also enjoy the ZuZu Cafe and Ella’s Deli.

For chain restaurants, Cracker Barrel has clean high chairs, good kids meals and the store keeps the kiddos busy.

  6. We live up in the Sauk area and the Blue Spoon Cafe is very stroller friendly and our mom’s group frequents sometimes weely, often times with a five stroller parade! They have a great back room that is usually not very crowded on off peak times. We have gone and had 5 nursing moms sitting around the table…we also sit and chat a while and they never mind!

    • Hi Julia,

I am from Sauk City and am searching for a mom’s group and saw this. Can you tell me are you open to new comers? are you all SAHM? OR are some working mom’s as well. Please respond to this and we can exchange contact info.

  7. We love Daisy! They not only have great food for us but for our 2.5 yr old is the only place where we ALL actually eat everything on our plates 😉

  8. I know I’m repeating what others have said, but gotta go with Lazy Jane’s and Monty’s.

The downtown Barriques is also great, especially when it’s warm enough to sit outside.

  9. We LOVE Market Street Diner and LaTolteca in downtown Sun Prairie. Both places are very kid friendly and have waitstaff that love kids. Market Street Diner has a drive-thru too, call ahead and your order is ready in 15 minutes – an essential for families with kids. You don’t even have to do the car-seat juggle to get a super great dinner.

  10. The Great Dane in Fitchburg has been great–we especially like taking our son to the buffet. We usually sit in the quieter upstairs area.
