Earlier this week Maggie shared a post about FunZone, held at the Family Enhancement Center in Madison. We weren’t familiar with the Family Enhancement Center before we discovered FunZone, so I thought I’d share with you what we learned!
In their own words, “Family Enhancement works with parents to strengthen families so that children will become healthy, capable, and responsible adults, ready to raise and support future generations of children.”
They have numerous programs in place to do just that, including:
Parents’ Places – provides education, support, information and referral to parents so that they can raise healthy, capable children ready to raise future generations.
CORE Classes – a six-week class in basic parenting skills to help parents learn and practice positive parenting techniques that promote child health, safety, nurture and protection.
Family Enhancement Center has quite a few other programs also available, so be sure to check the website for additional information. You can also find a Calendar of Events on the site as well.
If you’re interested, there are also multiple volunteer opportunities. “Volunteers are a vital part of Family Enhancement. Simply put, without them we could not provide our services. Many volunteers find their volunteer work experiences to be positive, rewarding and fulfilling. Volunteer opportunities are available days and evenings, Monday—Friday.”
What a great parenting resource to have right here in our city!
Family Enhancement Center is located at 2120 Fordem Ave, Suite 210, Madison (241.5150); firstname.lastname@example.org.
